Who can do this: Owners and Admins create the candidate appearance. Owners set the file type for the automatic import.
Product: Client Portal · Where: Settings → Candidate appearance
Your team already formats resumes in Bullhorn. Your clients can see exactly that file, with your recruiter note and any other details next to it. No second format to maintain.
By default, clients see a profile Candidately builds from the resume: summary, skills, employment history and education. This article shows how to swap that for your own file.
Have these ready: the Bullhorn file type your team uses for formatted resumes, for example "Formatted Resume".
Step 1: Create a resume file appearance
Click your name at the bottom left, then Settings.
Under Candidate settings, click Candidate appearance.
Select your current default and click Duplicate. Give the copy a clear name, for example "Resume file".
Click Edit. On the Candidate profile tab, remove the sections built from the resume with their X, for example Professional summary, Skills, Employment History and Education.
Keep what your client should see next to the file, for example Recruiter note, rate and availability, or a link to a video interview.
Make sure the Original CV / Resume section is on the Candidate profile tab.
Open the Candidate data control tab and check that Original CV / Resume is switched on.
Click Save.

Original CV / Resume must be switched on, or clients won't see the file.
Step 2: Use it on your lists
For all new lists: select the appearance in Settings → Candidate appearance and click Set as company default.
For one list: open the list, click List configuration → General and select it under Candidate appearance.
Step 3: Pick the right Bullhorn file
When you add a candidate by hand: click Import candidate from Bullhorn, select the candidate and pick the formatted file from their Bullhorn files.
When candidates come in automatically: an Owner sets Select CV/resume file type under Settings → Integrations → Bullhorn → Auto-import of candidates from jobs to your formatted resume file type. If several files match, the newest one is used.
Bring in your submission notes
Already write a submission summary in Bullhorn? Don't type it twice. Map it once and it comes in with every candidate.
Create the field in Candidately and add it to your appearance, or use Recruiter note.
In Settings → Integrations → Bullhorn → Field mappings, under Job submission field mapping, click Add new field.
Select the Bullhorn submission field on the left and the Candidately field on the right, then click Save changes.

Each row fills one Candidately field from the candidate's Bullhorn submission.

Good to know
Your client sees the file exactly as it is. Editing the profile in Candidately doesn't change the file.
The file can't be anonymized. If it has contact details in it, your client sees them.
When your client can open the file depends on the list access. See List access and CV visibility.
Whether clients can download the file is a separate setting. See Let clients download files or only view them (Client Portal).
A change to the appearance shows on every list that uses it.
Troubleshooting
The client sees the wrong file. Check which file was picked when the candidate was added. To swap it, see Replace, add or remove a candidate's CV.
The resume doesn't show at all. Check that Original CV / Resume is on in Candidate data control, both on the appearance and on the list.
Still stuck? Send us a message in the chat with the list name and the candidate.
Pro tip: Keep your full profile appearance too. Switch a list between the two in List configuration → General to compare what your client sees.
