Candidate Search AI is AI search across your own candidate database. It searches all the candidates in your Candidately account, synced from Bullhorn, uploaded as resumes or imported, and ranks them by how well they fit the role you describe.
You describe the role in plain language, or, if you use Bullhorn, open a job in Bullhorn and let Candidately read the job description. The AI turns that into a search, runs it across your whole database, and shows you a ranked list with a relevance score and an AI Summary for every candidate.
What you can do with it
Search in natural language. "Senior Java backend engineer, 6+ years, Spring and microservices, Berlin or within 50 km." You don't need Boolean.
Match a Bullhorn job (with Bullhorn connected). Open the job in Bullhorn, open the Candidately search tab. The search is built from the job description automatically.
Refine step by step. Type follow-ups into the search bar ("add Kubernetes", "remove the location"). Each message adjusts the same search instead of starting over.
Filter on hard facts. Experience range, required or excluded skills, location and radius, employers and job titles. With Bullhorn connected, you can also filter on the Bullhorn fields your admin makes available (status, owner, custom fields).
Understand every result. Each candidate has a relevance score and an AI Summary that explains how the profile fits your search.
Act directly from results. Open the full profile, add to a shortlist or list, or hide a candidate, one at a time or in bulk. With Bullhorn connected, you can also open the record in Bullhorn, submit to a Bullhorn job or add to a tearsheet.
Where you use it
In Candidately: click All candidates in the left menu, with AI Search selected in the toggle at the top.
In Bullhorn (if you use Bullhorn): on a job record, the Candidately search tab. Your admin sets it up and names it. See Start your search in Bullhorn.
Without Bullhorn, it searches the candidates you upload or import into Candidately. It doesn't connect to other ATSs yet. See Does Candidate Search AI work with my ATS?

What it searches
Your own candidates only: resume content, skills, job titles, employers, location and experience. If Bullhorn is connected, Bullhorn fields are searchable too and can be used as filters. New and updated Bullhorn candidates are picked up through live sync. Uploaded and imported candidates are searchable once their profile is created.
