Start your search in Bullhorn

Run Candidate Search AI straight from a Bullhorn job record. Candidately reads the job description and builds the search for you.

Written by Gustavo Teran

You don't need to leave Bullhorn or copy the job description. Candidately reads the job record and builds the search for you.

Option A: the Candidate Search tab on the job

1. Open the job record in Bullhorn.

2. Click the Candidate Search tab, next to Overview, Edit, Activity and so on. If you don't see it, look under More.

3. Wait a few seconds. Candidately loads inside the tab, reads the job description, fills the filters and runs the search.

Option B: Actions → Candidately Search and Match

1. Open the job record.

2. Click Actions (top right).

3. Choose Candidately Search and Match.

Both options open the same search screen.

What Candidately takes from the job

  • Job title and title variations

  • Must-have skills (marked required) and nice-to-have skills (optional)

  • Experience range

  • Location and radius

  • Anything else that matters goes into the Ideal Candidate Brief: industry, client type, language, seniority

The job description needs at least around 30 characters of real content. A one-line title alone won't produce a useful search. Add a few requirements to the job first.

After the search runs

Everything works exactly as in Candidately:

  • Filters on the left: adjust experience, tick or untick required skills, widen the radius, add Bullhorn filters. Click Apply Changes after editing filters.

  • Refine bar at the bottom: type "add Python", "remove Kubernetes", "only candidates who worked in banking".

  • Result cards: score, AI summary, evaluations. Click View Profile for the full profile.

  • Select candidates, then Bulk actions: submit to this Bullhorn job, add to a tearsheet, shortlist or list.

If the tab is blank

The embedded app needs a few seconds. If it stays blank after about 15 seconds, click the refresh icon on the job record (top right) and open the tab again. Still blank: see Troubleshooting: search slow, stuck, or Bullhorn tab blank.
