Candidate Search AI makes job matching inside Bullhorn simple: launch the Search from a Bullhorn job, let the AI extract the job requirements, and get a ranked, explainable list of candidates ready for Shortlist.
Before you start
Make sure your Bullhorn integration is connected and you’re signed into Candidate.ly.
For automatic job extraction, the Bullhorn job description should be ≥ 30 characters; otherwise, the system may not auto-generate filters.
1. Launch AI job matching from Bullhorn
Open the job in Bullhorn.
Click the "Actions" button and select "Match against Candidately DB"
Candidate.ly receives the job context and will attempt to extract the job text and pre-populate the search input and filters.
2. Review your search results
The AI converts the job description into structured filters (skills, required vs optional, experience range, locations, remote flags, negated skills).
You’ll see your ranked results and filter settings. Review these to make sure the AI captured the important items.
3. Tweak filters (optional)
Mark the 1–2 must-have skills as required.
Keep broader or “nice-to-have” skills optional so the AI can surface good matches.
Adjust location (radius or acceptable locations) and experience (e.g., “3 to 6 years”).
Use negation for hard exclusions (for example, “no PHP”).
These changes refine the structured query that powers matching.
