If AI Search shows a lock icon, Candidate Search AI isn't turned on for your company. Click Get early access, or ask us in the chat, to talk about adding Candidate Search AI to your account.
Who this is for: anyone who sees a lock on AI Search. Only Candidately can turn it on. It's on or off for your whole company, not per user.
What you see
On the All candidates page:
The AI Search option in the toggle at the top is greyed out with a lock icon. Hover over it and you see AI Search not available.
The page opens on All candidates instead of AI Search.
The search bar says "Search candidates by name or email…". It only finds candidates by name or email, not by skills, job title or location.
In place of the Filters sidebar you see a Candidate Search AI panel with a Get early access button.
Why it happens
Candidate Search AI is turned on per company, as part of your plan. If your plan doesn't include it, or a trial has ended, it's locked for everyone in your company. The search steps in our other articles won't work until it's on.
Get access
On the All candidates page, click Get early access in the Candidate Search AI panel.
The chat opens with the message "I am interested in learning more about the Candidate Search AI". Send it. Add anything that helps us, like which ATS you use.
We reply in the chat to talk about adding Candidate Search AI to your account.
You can also message us in the chat at any time without the button.
What you should see
Once it's on, reload the page. AI Search is selected in the toggle, the start screen says Search your candidates, and the search bar says "Find candidates by skills, title, location, name, email…".
Good to know
While AI Search is locked, the search bar still finds candidates by name or email.
The Candidate Search AI panel stays in place of the Filters sidebar until AI Search is on.
You don't need Bullhorn to use Candidate Search AI.
