How the free trial works

When you sign up for Candidately, your company gets a free Resume Builder trial with 10 credits that don't expire. You also get a sample candidate, Emma Johnson, to try it on.

Written by Jan Alexander Jedlinski

Who it's for: Anyone who signs up with a company email. Before you start: nothing. You don't need Bullhorn or a demo call.

How to start

  1. Go to app.candidate.ly/signup and sign up with your company email, or click Sign up with Google or Sign up with Bullhorn.

  2. Answer a few short questions about you and your company.

  3. You land on Candidates > All candidates with the sample candidate, Emma Johnson. A welcome tour starts and walks you through your first export.

What the trial includes

Everything in Resume Builder:

  • Upload and parse resumes, and create candidates manually

  • Edit profiles, use Ask AI and add recruiter notes

  • Export as PDF or Word, and share a profile by link

  • Your own branding, resume templates (Candidate appearance) and custom fields, in Settings

Tip: Set up your branding before you export for clients. New accounts start with a default branding. See Set up your branding.

What the trial doesn't include

These show in the app but are locked. They open a page about the product or an upgrade window:

  • Job submission lists (Client Portal), with Book a demo

  • Marketing lists (Talent Marketplace), with Book a demo

  • Analytics, with Book a demo

  • The AI Search tab on Candidates (Candidate Search AI), with Get early access

  • Add to list on a profile, which opens an upgrade window with Book Demo

Job submission lists opens the Client Portal page with a Book a demo button

Your trial credits

  • You get 10 credits for your whole company. They don't expire.

  • A profile uses 1 credit the first time you export it: PDF, Word, share link or Send to Bullhorn. Downloading it again is free until someone edits the profile.

  • The welcome tour's download uses 1 credit, like any export.

  • You see how many are left in the user menu (your name, bottom left), for example "9 / 10 credits remaining", and at the bottom of the export screen.

Uploading and editing resumes doesn't use credits.

How long the trial lasts

A trial has no end date unless we agreed one with you. If it has one, the user menu shows how many days are left. When it ends, you see "Your trial has ended!" with Talk to Sales.

When you need more credits

Ask us in the chat and tell us how many you need. Click Talk to sales at the bottom of the export screen, or open the user menu and click Contact Support. See Get more credits.

Common questions

Can I use my own logo and branding on the trial?

Yes. Owners and Admins can set it up in Settings > Branding. Open Settings from the user menu.

Do the trial credits run out after a while?

No. Trial credits don't expire. They're only used when you export.

Can I get more free credits?

Ask us in the chat. We'll look at your account with you.

Is there a demo account I can log into?

The trial is your own account with a sample candidate. Upload a few of your own resumes to see how they come out.

We agreed a pilot or a later billing start. Who do I ask?

Ask us in the chat. We handle pilots and billing dates with you directly.
