Who it's for: Everyone who exports resumes. Owners and Admins can see the balance on every plan.
What uses a credit
The first export of a profile, in any of these ways:
Download DOC (Word, .docx)
Share candidate profile (a share link)
Send to Bullhorn
After that first export, all four are free for the same profile. A PDF, then a Word file, then a share link of the same unchanged profile costs 1 credit in total.
What doesn't use a credit
Uploading or parsing a resume
Creating, editing or duplicating a profile
Opening a profile or the export preview
Downloading or sharing a profile again when it hasn't changed
When a profile uses a credit again
The next export uses 1 credit if, since the last one:
Someone edited the profile. Any change to its content counts: name, job title, skills, a date, the summary or the recruiter note.
The resume was replaced and the profile details changed. If you choose Do not update, nothing changes and the next export stays free.
A duplicate is a new profile. Its first export uses 1 credit.
These are not edits, so they stay free: changing the branding, the candidate appearance (resume template), Control candidate data, the file name or the candidate representative.
Credits: The share panel says "Uses 1 credit per link". You're only charged once per profile until it's edited. A share link for a profile you've already downloaded, and haven't changed since, uses no credit.
Who shares the credits
All credits belong to your company. Every user, Owner, Admin or Member, exports from the same balance.
When credits expire
Credits | Expire |
Trial credits (10 at sign-up) | Never |
Credits that come with your plan | At the end of your plan term. New ones are added when the plan renews |
Extra credits our team adds for you | Never |
Unused plan credits don't carry over to the next term. When you have several kinds, the credits that expire first are used first.
Common questions
Does 1 credit equal 1 PDF download?
1 credit equals 1 profile. Download it as often as you like until someone edits it.
I edited a profile and exported again. Why did it use another credit?
An edit changes the content, so the next export counts as a new resume. Change only the branding or template if you want it to stay free.
Do unused credits roll over?
Plan credits don't. They expire at the end of your plan term. Trial credits and extra credits from our team don't expire.
Why was I charged again?
Plan credits come with a plan, and a plan renews at the end of each term with new credits. If you only wanted a one-time top-up, tell us in the chat.
Can I buy credits that don't expire?
Ask us in the chat. Tell us how many you need and how often. See Get more credits.
