Who can do this: Owners and Admins create the field. Anyone who can edit a candidate can pick the options.
Select fields give recruiters a fixed list of options to choose from, so every candidate on a job submission list is described the same way.
Single Select or Multiple Select
Single Select: pick one option. For example, notice period: "Immediately", "1 month", "3 months".
Multiple Select: pick as many options as apply. For example, languages or shifts the candidate can work.
You can't change a field's type after you create it. If you pick the wrong one, create a new field.
Create a select field
Click your name at the bottom left, then Settings.
Under Candidate settings, click Field management, then Add new field.
Type the Field title, pick a Custom icon and click Next.
In Field type, pick Single Select or Multiple Select.
Under Options, type the first option in Enter an option, then click Add an option for the next one. Drag options to change their order. Have a list already? Click Paste in options, paste one option per line or separate them with commas, and click Add options. Duplicates and blank lines are skipped.
Set Restricted field and Field visibility, then click Create.
Add the field to the candidate appearance
In Settings > Candidate appearance, click Edit on the appearance your lists use.
On the Candidate profile tab, click a section and tick the field.
Do the same on the Candidate form tab.
Click Save.
Pick options on a candidate
Open the candidate on the list, click Edit, choose the options in the field and click Update candidate. Your client sees the chosen options on the candidate profile.
Change the options later
In Field management, hover the field's row and click Edit, or click the field title. Change the options and click Update field.
Rename an option: the new name replaces the old one on every list candidate who had it.
Remove an option: candidates who already have it keep it. In Edit candidate it shows with a red icon ("This option has been archived and is no longer available for new selections."). Remove it there if you want.
Clear all removes every option in one go.
Good to know
Each option can be up to 50 characters. Two options can't have the same name.
A new field isn't added to any appearance on its own.
Empty fields aren't shown to your client.
Field visibility Internal keeps the field for your team only. Public shows it to clients.
