Use the AI write-up

  2. Want a different version? Click Regenerate. To steer it, type an instruction in the write-up's own box Ask AI to edit or generate….

  3. Click Add as recruiter note to put the write-up in the note.

  4. Edit the note if needed, then click Update profile.

The write-up is marked Beta. Read it before you send the resume.

Result

The note shows as a Recruiter note section on the profile and on the exported resume, below the professional summary with the default candidate appearance.

Change the AI note settings

Owners and Admins only.

  1. Open the user menu (your name, bottom left) > Settings > AI Recruiter note.

AI Recruiter note settings: automatic notes, auto-save, recruiter note prompt
  2. Set the options:

    • AI-Generated Recruiter Notes: On creates the write-up automatically (the default). Off doesn't.

    • Auto-save AI Recruiter Notes: Preview AI notes first (the default) waits until you click Add as recruiter note. Save AI notes to candidates immediately saves the write-up as the note without that click.

    • AI-Generated Recruiter Note prompt: edit the prompt to set the length, tone or what to cover. The default prompt asks for a short bullet-point write-up. Your prompt replaces it.

Good to know

  • A recruiter note is profile content. Adding or changing it means the next export uses 1 credit, even if you exported the profile before.

  • Duplicating a profile copies the note too.

  • To leave the note off a resume, an Owner or Admin can remove the Recruiter note field from the candidate appearance you export with. See Set up candidate templates (candidate appearance).

Common questions

What does the setting to auto-generate a recruiter note do? AI-Generated Recruiter Notes decides if the write-up is created automatically. Auto-save AI Recruiter Notes decides if it's saved as the note straight away or waits for you.

Can I change the prompt the AI uses? Yes. An Owner or Admin edits it under AI-Generated Recruiter Note prompt. It replaces the default prompt.

Can I merge interview notes into the resume with one prompt? No. AI works field by field. Paste your notes in the recruiter note and use Ask AI on that field.
