Who it's for: Owners, Admins and Members. Ask AI doesn't use credits.
Steps
Open the profile and click Edit.
Go to a long text field, for example Professional summary, and click Ask AI at the top right of the field.
Pick a preset, or type an instruction in the box Ask AI to edit or generate….
A result card shows the new text. Your field doesn't change yet.
Want another version? Click Regenerate. Use the arrows next to the counter (for example "2 / 2") to go back and forth between versions.
Want to adjust it? Type another instruction in the box. It works on the latest result.
Click Replace selection. The new text goes into the field and the preview updates.
Read the text, change anything that's off, then click Update profile to save.
To change only part of the text, select it. Ask AI then shows in the formatting toolbar for that selection.

Your own instructions
The box Ask AI to edit or generate… takes any instruction. Examples:
"Translate into German"
"Focus on project management experience"
"Keep it under 60 words"
Always read the result before you send the resume. AI text can contain mistakes, and translations may need a native speaker's check.
Save prompts you use often
Open the user menu (your name, bottom left) > Settings > Ask AI prompts and click Create new prompt.
Enter a Prompt name (you can pick an icon), and write the instruction in Custom prompt.
Under Available for, choose Everyone or Myself only, then click Save. You see "Saved prompt successfully".
Your saved prompts show at the top of the Ask AI menu, above the presets.
To change or remove a saved prompt, open it in Ask AI prompts and click Edit, Duplicate or Delete.
Good to know
Ask AI works on one field at a time. There's no single action that rewrites or translates a whole resume.
Replacing text with Ask AI is an edit. The next export of the profile uses 1 credit, even if you exported it before.
After Add Quantifiable Data or Highlight Achievements, check every number and claim against the original resume.
Common questions
Can Candidately translate a whole resume into English? Not in one step. Use Ask AI with "Translate into English" on each text field. To show field titles in another language, see Rename fields and show a resume in another language.
Can I tailor a resume to a job description? Ask AI has no job description option. You can describe what to bring forward in the box, for example "Focus on experience with SAP and month-end closing", or save it as a custom prompt.
Can I remove names and personal details with AI? Anonymize details rewrites the text in a field. To hide the name, contact details and employers on the export, see Create an anonymous resume.
I picked a preset but nothing changed. The result shows in a card first. Click Replace selection to put it in the field.
