Reveal a CV when a client requests it

On lists where CVs need to be requested, your client asks for the full CV and you decide when to reveal it.

Who can do this: Owners and Admins on any list. Members on lists they own or are assigned to.

On lists where CVs need to be requested, your client asks for the full CV and you decide when to reveal it.

How you find out

  • You get an email: "[Candidate]'s CV was requested on Candidately".

  • On the list, the candidate moves to the stage CV requested.

Reveal the CV from the stage menu

  1. Open the list and find the candidate under CV requested.

  2. Open the candidate's stage menu and click Set to "CV revealed".

  3. Candidately asks "Are you sure you want to reveal [Candidate] CV?". Click Reveal CV.

Reveal the CV while moving the candidate to another stage

If you move a candidate to another stage, for example Interview, while their CV is still hidden, Candidately asks first: "Do you want to reveal the CV?"

  • Reveal CV: the client gets the CV with the stage change.

  • Skip: the stage changes, the CV stays hidden.

Then Candidately asks "Do you want to notify your client?". Choose Proceed without email or Yes, email client.

What happens next

  • Candidately shows "Candidate revealed successfully" and the candidate moves to CV revealed.

  • Every client contact on the list gets an email, "[Candidate]'s CV was revealed", and sees the full profile and CV. The CV file appears in the conversation with Preview and Download.

  • The client can now click Request interview or Decline.

Good to know

  • Changing the stage doesn't reveal the CV on its own. Choose Reveal CV when Candidately asks.

  • Revealing from the stage menu doesn't ask whether to email the client. Your client contacts get the "CV was revealed" email anyway.

  • You can't move a candidate to CV requested yourself. Only the client can.

  • You can reveal a CV before the client asks for it: pick Set to "CV revealed" in the stage menu.

  • Revealing a CV doesn't change anything in Bullhorn.

  • Not ready to reveal? Send the client a message in the Messenger first.
