Move a candidate to another stage (and whether the client is emailed)

Change a candidate's stage yourself, for example after a call with the client. You decide each time whether your client gets an email about it.

Who can do this: Owners and Admins on any list. Members on lists they own or are assigned to, and on lists owned by someone in their team.

Change a candidate's stage yourself, for example after a call with the client. You decide each time whether your client gets an email about it.

Steps

  1. Open the job submission list.

  2. On the candidate card, click the stage menu and pick the new stage, for example Set to "2nd Interview". You can also change it at the top of the candidate view.

  3. If the client can't see the CV yet, Candidately asks Do you want to reveal the CV? Changing the stage doesn't reveal the CV on its own. Click Reveal CV to show it now, or Skip.

  4. Candidately then asks Do you want to notify your client? Pick one:

    • Yes, email client: every client contact on the list gets an email.

    • Proceed without email: the stage changes, no email goes out.

    • Cancel: nothing changes.

Do you want to notify your client? dialog with Proceed without email and Yes, email client

What happens next

  • The candidate moves to the new stage on your list and on your client's list.

  • If you chose Yes, email client, each client contact gets an email: "Status was set to "2nd Interview"". The change also shows in the candidate's conversation.

Reveal a CV through the stage menu

On lists where CVs need to be requested, pick Set to "CV revealed" and confirm with Reveal CV. Candidately shows "Candidate revealed successfully". Every client contact on the list gets an email that the CV was revealed. There's no "notify your client?" step here, because the reveal email always goes out.

Good to know

  • You can't set CV requested. Only the client can, by clicking Request CV. It shows greyed out in your menu.

  • On a list that isn't shared with any client yet, the stage changes without any questions.

  • With Bullhorn, Interview and Declined update the candidate's job submission status in Bullhorn, if the list is connected to a Bullhorn job. Other stages, like To review, CV revealed or Offer, don't change Bullhorn.

  • Changed the stage by mistake? Pick the previous stage again and choose Proceed without email.
