Who can do this: Owners and Admins.
Before you start: have your website's address ready, like https://www.youragency.com.
You can bring your website's own header and footer onto your job board, so it feels like part of your site. Talentbird's board uses the header and footer from talentbird.ai, so candidates never feel they've left.
Import your header and footer
Go to Settings > Jobs > Job boards, open your board, and click Theme editor. It opens on your board in a new browser tab.
Open Header & footer and tick Use custom header and footer.
Enter your Website URL and click Import website. Your header, footer, styles and fonts come in, and the preview shows the result.
Place the candidate sign-in button: click the spot in your header where it should go, for example your own "Log in" link.
Choose Place before, Place after or Replace with Candidately.
Click Save.
You see Theme saved. Your board shows your website's menu at the top and your website's footer at the bottom.
Adjust the sign-in button
The button shows Sign in to visitors and My applications to signed-in candidates. To change it later, open Header & footer.
Use Move left, Move right, Edit button CSS, Remove or Restore original to adjust it.
Tick Preview signed-in button (off: Sign in) to see the My applications version. Untick it to see Sign in.
Click Save.
Adjust the header and footer with AI
Once Use custom header and footer is ticked, you can describe a change in your own words and the AI rewrites your imported header and footer.
Under Header & footer, find Adjust with AI.
In Instruction, describe one change, for example "Remove the mega-menu and keep the logo and navigation."
Click Generate preview. The preview shows the result, and nothing goes live yet.
Not happy with it? Click Previous version to undo the last change, or Original version to go back to what you imported.
Click Save.
The AI keeps its style changes in a separate AI adjustments CSS field, which your web team can edit.
When your website changes
Click Re-import website, check the preview, and click Save.
If your website blocks the import, your web team can paste the code under Header HTML, Footer HTML and Custom CSS instead.
Good to know
Scripts and forms aren't supported in Header HTML and Footer HTML.
The board's standard header has a Saved link for candidates' saved jobs. With your own header, add a link to /jobs/saved there yourself.
No header to import? Use the header links and footer columns under Header & footer instead. See Brand your job board with the theme editor.
Troubleshooting
