Your board's look is set in the Theme editor on the board. Settings → Branding is something else: it styles resume PDFs.
The theme editor changes how your board looks, next to a live preview. Nothing changes on the live board until you click Save.
Open the theme editor

Go to Settings → Jobs → Job boards and open your board.
Click Theme editor. It opens on your board in a new browser tab. Its address is your board's address on app.candidate.ly with ?theme_editor=open at the end.
Click a group to open its settings: Start here, Your brand, Colors & buttons, Layout & shapes, Page content, Header & footer, Board behavior or Candidately branding.
Start with a preset
Seven ready-made themes give you a starting point: Cobalt, Haven, Circuit, Sienna, Meridian, Sterling and Forge.
Click a preset.
In Apply this preset?, click Apply preset.
The preview shows the preset's colors, fonts and shapes. It replaces your current ones in the preview only; nothing is saved until you click Save.
Set your agency name, logo and font
Agency name | Shows in the header and footer. |
Logo | At least 64×64 px. Logo height (px) sets how tall it sits in the header; the width adjusts itself. |
Favicon | The small icon in the browser tab. A square image, at least 32×32 px. |
Browser tab title | Shows in the browser tab and when someone shares your board. Leave it empty and it uses your banner title, or else "Jobs at" and your agency name. |
Font | The font for the whole board. Need one that isn't in the list? Ask us in the chat. |
Change colors, layout and the banner
Colors & buttons sets your main color, the page and header colors, an accent bar and the button style. To use your brand color, click the color square and paste your hex code into the color picker. If a color combination is hard to read, you see a warning and a suggested fix.

Primary is your main color, and the button style can be Solid or Gradient.
Layout & shapes sets square, rounded or pill corners, and where the filters sit.
Page content sets the top banner and the job list heading. The banner image needs to be at least 2400×400 px. You can add a taller phone version, at least 1200×400 px, plus a title, a subtitle and an optional button. When you upload a banner, a crop window opens: adjust the frame and click Crop. The Phone banner image field appears once a banner is uploaded.
Small line above title shows a short line above the banner title. Leave it empty to hide it.

Under Page content, upload the banner and set the title and subtitle candidates see first.
Add header links and footer columns
Under Header & footer, add links back to your website in the header, and your tagline, address, contact details and up to 4 link columns in the footer. To use your website's own header and footer instead, see Use your website's header and footer on your job board.
Set job sorting and the Powered by Candidately line
Board behavior has Default sorting, the order your jobs show in, for example Newest. Under Candidately branding, you can turn off Show "Powered by Candidately" in the footer.
Preview, discard and save
Click Preview to see the board without the editor.
Click Save.
You see Theme saved, and the live board shows your changes. To throw away everything since your last save, click Discard instead.

The combination is hard to read. Click the button in the warning that starts with Use to switch to the suggested color.

Open Page content, clear Small line above title, then click Save.
