Who can do this: Anyone who can edit your website, usually your web team. To find the board's address in Candidately, you need to be an Owner or Admin. Anyone can copy it from the public board.
Your job board has its own web address. Link to it from your website, so candidates can find your jobs in one click. The example below uses Talentbird's website, talentbird.ai, and its board at jobs.talentbird.ai.
Step 1: Copy your board's address
Go to Settings > Jobs > Job boards and open your board.
Click Open public board. Your board opens in a new tab.
Copy the address from your browser's address bar.
On your own web address, the board's address is also shown under Slug, next to Custom domain. For Talentbird that's https://jobs.talentbird.ai/jobs.
Step 2: Add a link to your website's menu
Most agencies add a Jobs, Careers or Search jobs link to the main menu. Talentbird has Search jobs at the top right of every page, and it opens https://jobs.talentbird.ai/jobs.
In your website editor, open the main menu (it may be called navigation or header).
Add a menu item, often called a custom link, and name it, for example Jobs.
Paste your board's address as the link.
Save and publish your website.
If your web team adds the link by hand, this is all they need. Replace the address with yours:
<a href="https://jobs.talentbird.ai/jobs">Search jobs</a>
Step 3: Link to more than the board
Every page on your board has its own address, so you can link straight to it. Talentbird's Find jobs menu links to all its jobs and to My Talentbird, where candidates track their applications.
Link to | Talentbird example | How to get yours |
All jobs | Your board's address, from step 1.
A search | Search on your board, then copy the address.
One job | Open the job on your board, then copy the address.
Candidates' applications | Click My applications on your board, then copy the address. |
A search link opens the board with the search already filled in. It's handy for a page on your website about one desk or specialism.
Check the link
Open your website in a private browser window and click the new link. Your board should open with your live jobs.
Good to know
Put the link where candidates look: the main menu, the footer and your homepage.
On your own web address, like careers.youragency.com, candidates stay on your brand. See Use your own web address for a job board.
To make the board look like the rest of your website, see Use your website's header and footer on your job board.
If you change the board's slug or web address, update the link on your website too.
