Who can do this: Owners and Admins.
Your live jobs are published for Google for Jobs and listed in a sitemap, so search engines pick up new jobs soon after they go live. There's nothing to set up for that. The settings below control how your board looks in search results and whether it's indexed.
Set how your board looks in search results
Go to Settings > Jobs > Job boards and open your board.
Under Search engine visibility, enter a title and description for the board page and for each job page. Click a tag like {job_title} to fill in job details automatically.
Click Save changes.
Leave a field empty to use the default shown under it. The Google preview on the right updates as you type.
By default, the board page is titled "Jobs at" plus your agency name (or your banner title), and each job page shows the job title and your agency name.
Choose whether search engines index the board
Under Search engine indexing, pick one:
Visible to search engines | The default. Search engines can list your board and jobs. |
Hidden from search engines | Keeps the board out of search results. Pages already in results drop out over time. |
Custom directive | For your web team, if they need a specific instruction for search engines. |
Add tracking scripts
On your own web address, you can add Tracking scripts from your analytics or job distribution provider in the board settings.
Important: Only paste code from providers you trust.
Help candidates find the board
Add a Jobs or Careers link on your website that points to the public board's address. See Link to your job board from your website.
Move the board to your own web address, like careers.youragency.com, so candidates stay on your brand.
Good to know
Only live jobs are published for Google for Jobs.
If you change a board's slug, the old address keeps working and forwards to the new one.
Tracking scripts are for boards on your own web address.
