Who it's for: anyone who works on job submission lists.
Candidately emails you when a client opens your list, asks for a CV, writes a message, requests an interview or declines a candidate. Here's what you get, and how to get fewer.
The emails
When | Who gets it | |
"[Contact] just visited your list" | A client contact opens the list (at most once an hour per contact) | List assignees |
"[Candidate]'s CV was requested on Candidately" | A client clicks Request CV | Colleagues receiving notifications for that candidate |
Messenger email: "[Candidate] on the "[List]" list presented by [your company]" | A client sends a message, requests an interview (with any proposed times) or declines ("Your candidate was declined. Decline reason: …") | Colleagues receiving notifications for that candidate |
List shared | A colleague shares the list and ticks Notify colleagues assigned to list | List assignees |
Ready and AE Rejected | With split-desk on, a colleague marks a candidate Ready or sets AE Rejected | Colleagues receiving notifications for that candidate, except the person who made the change |
Messenger emails are one thread per candidate. Reply to the email and your answer goes into the conversation.
Get fewer emails
There's no on/off switch for these emails in your account settings. You control them per list and per candidate:
One candidate: open the candidate, click Add or remove participants and remove yourself from Colleagues receiving notifications.
One list: ask the list owner to remove you from the list's Assignees if you don't need to follow it.
Split-desk emails: in Settings > General settings, Owners and Admins can choose Notify instantly or Grouped notifications (one email about 15 minutes after the last change).
Good to know
You don't get Ready or AE Rejected emails for changes you make yourself.
Not getting an email you expect? Check that you're in Colleagues receiving notifications for the candidate, then check your spam folder.
Clients get their own emails. See Client emails: list updates and automatic follow-ups.
