Who can do this: Owners and Admins. We set up the domain for you first.
Show your job submission lists and client portal on your own address, like candidates.youragency.com, instead of my.candidate.ly.
Set up the domain
Ask us in the chat which address you want, for example candidates.youragency.com. A subdomain of your main website works well.
We tell you what your IT team needs to add at your DNS provider.
Your IT team adds it, exactly as we sent it, and lets us know.
We check it and confirm when the domain is ready.
This is separate from sending emails from your own domain. See Send client emails from your own domain.
Link the domain to your branding
Go to Settings > Branding and pick the branding.
Under Domain, choose your domain.
Click Save changes.
Lists with this branding now open on your domain. Links in share emails and login links use it.
You can also check or change the domain for one list in List configuration > List appearance > Domain.
Use the domain for the client portal
Go to Settings > List settings > Client portal.
You see one portal for the Candidately address (my.candidate.ly/cp/…) and one for each custom domain.
Pick the Theme for your domain's portal and copy its Client portal URL.
Put the link on your website, for example as a "Client login" button.
Good to know
Each branding can have its own domain, so several brands can each have their own address.
Lists you share after the change use the new domain. Links you already sent on my.candidate.ly keep working.
The job board uses its own domain setting. See Use your own web address for a job board.
There's no code to embed a list or the portal inside a page on your website. Link to it instead.
Troubleshooting
My domain isn't in the Domain list. It isn't set up yet. Ask us in the chat.
The address doesn't open. Check with your IT team that the records are in exactly as we sent them, then tell us in the chat and we check again.
