Who can do this: Owners and Admins, in companies with the Client Portal.
Product: Client Portal
Where: Settings → Company → Terms of Use / Privacy Policy
Add links to your own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Clients see them when they log in to your lists and your client portal.
How do I add my terms of use and privacy policy?
Click your name or photo at the bottom left.
Click Settings. The Company page opens.
Scroll to Terms of Use / Privacy Policy.
Enter the web address of your terms in Terms of Use URL.
Enter the web address of your privacy policy in Privacy Policy URL.
Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
Result: you see "Saved successfully". The links now show on the screens your clients use to log in.
Where do my clients see the links?
On your client portal login page: "By signing up, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy."
In the Confirm your email box that a logged-out client sees on a list. It shows the same line.
On the Is this you? screen when a client opens a login link from your client portal: "By logging in, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy."
In the email preview when you share a list: "By clicking the button above you accept our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy."
Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are links. Each one opens your page in a new tab.
What if I leave a field empty?
Fill in only one field and clients see only that link, for example "By signing up, you agree to our Privacy Policy."
Leave both fields empty and clients don't see the line at all. Candidately doesn't show its own terms instead.
Good to know
The links apply to your whole company: every list and every client portal.
Your Job Board uses the same links, unless you add separate links in the job board's own settings.
Members can't open Settings → Company. Ask an Owner or Admin to change the links.
Troubleshooting
I don't see Terms of Use / Privacy Policy. The section only shows for companies with the Client Portal. If you have the Client Portal and still don't see it, ask us in the chat.
A client doesn't see the links. Check that you clicked Save changes and that at least one field is filled in.
Pro tip: Only have one of the two documents? Add just that link. Clients then see only that one, and you can add the other later.
