Who can do this: anyone who can create lists. Importing works for Owners and Admins on any list, and for Members on lists they own or are assigned to, and on lists owned by someone in their team. Your company needs Bullhorn connected and the Candidately tab added to jobs.
Start a job submission list straight from a job in Bullhorn. The list stays connected to the job, so candidates you add show up as submissions in Bullhorn.
Create the list from the job
In Bullhorn, open the job and click your Candidately tab. Your company named it, for example "Client Portal".
Click Create new Job Submission List.
The name is filled in as "job ID | job title", for example "529 | Engineering Manager". Change it if you like.
Check Branding, Candidate appearance, List owner and Assign colleagues (optional).
Click Create list.
The list header now shows the Bullhorn icon. Hover it to see "Connected to job in Bullhorn" and Manage connections.
The new list starts as Draft. Share it when you're ready. See Share a list with a client.
Import candidates from the job
On the connected list, click Add candidate > Import candidate from Bullhorn.
You see the candidates on the connected job. Use Filter by status to narrow them down. Turn on Search all candidates in Bullhorn to find someone who isn't on the job yet, by Bullhorn ID, name or email.
Click the candidate, then choose:
Import from Candidately database: use the profile the candidate already has in Candidately.
Import from Bullhorn candidate files: use a resume from Bullhorn.
What happens next
The candidate is added to the list as Draft or Active, depending on the list's Candidate upload status.
In Bullhorn, the candidate gets a job submission on the connected job, added by you.
When you move the candidate to a stage, the submission status in Bullhorn follows your status mapping. See Map submission stages to Bullhorn statuses.
Connect a list you already have
If you made the list in Candidately first, you can connect it to a job afterwards. Open the Candidately tab on the job in Bullhorn, click Connect an existing list, select the list and click Continue. You can also start from Create new list > Connect an existing list in Candidately.
To remove the connection, go to List configuration > General > Connected jobs, click Disconnect and confirm with Yes, disconnect.
Import candidates automatically by Bullhorn status
Your company can have Candidately add candidates to connected lists on its own when their submission status in Bullhorn changes to a status you pick. An Owner sets this up in Settings > Integrations > Bullhorn under Auto-import of candidates from jobs:
Import trigger: the Bullhorn job submission statuses that start an import.
Select CV/resume file type: which Bullhorn file to use as the CV. If several files match, the newest one is used.
Candidate import status: the status the candidate gets on the list.
This applies to every list connected to a Bullhorn job, now and in the future. Only use it if you want every candidate with that status on the client's list.
Good to know
Adding a candidate from your candidate database to a connected list also creates a submission in Bullhorn.
On a list that isn't connected to a job, nothing is written to Bullhorn.
To add and remove candidates based on a tearsheet, use Automations. See Update a list automatically from Bullhorn.
