Good to know
Field types: Text Single Line, Long text, URL, Number, Date, Checkbox, Single Select, Multiple Select, File Upload, Rate.
You can't change a field's type after you create it. To use another type, create a new field.
The Candidate profile tab decides what shows on the resume. The Candidate form tab decides what recruiters can fill in. A field needs to be on both.
You decide the order. Drag sections and fields into place on each tab.
Restricted field has two options: "No, instantly visible" and "Yes, hide until CV/resume is visible".
Field visibility is Public (visible to your customers) or Internal (only displayed internally). Use Public for fields that belong on the resume.
Rate fields that are empty or 0 don't show on the PDF.
To change a field later, hover its row in Field management and click Edit, or click the field title. The Edit custom field panel also has an Archive button.
Common questions
Can I add a LinkedIn or portfolio link to the resume?
Yes. Create a field with the type URL, add it to the appearance, then paste the link when you edit the profile.
Why does my new field sit at the bottom of the edit form?
The edit form has its own layout. Open the Candidate form tab of the appearance and drag the field into the right section.
I created the field, but it isn't on the resume.
It's not on the Candidate profile tab yet, or it has no value. See A field is missing or wrong on the resume.
