Job submission lists and marketing lists: what's the difference?

Use a job submission list (Client Portal) when you send candidates to one client company for a job. Use a marketing list (Talent Marketplace) when you show the same candidates to many companies.

Collaboration on job submission lists

When you share a job submission list with several people at the same client, they work on it together. For example, a second contact sees the first contact's CV request, interview request and messages, and the CV once you reveal it.

That's why a job submission list is for one company only. If you add contacts from two different companies, they'd see each other's feedback.

What's the same

Both list types use the same building blocks: branding, candidate appearance, list access and CV visibility, candidate data control, email templates, client notifications, Bullhorn import and the client portal login.

Good to know

  • Choose the type when you create the list: Job submission lists > Create new list, or Marketing lists > Create new list.

  • The Client Portal and Talent Marketplace are separate parts of your plan. If one of the menus is missing, ask us in the chat.

  • You can't change a list's type after you create it. Create a new list of the other type instead.
