Shortlists: keep a working set of candidates per role

Add candidates to a shortlist from a card, the profile panel or in bulk, and find your shortlists again.

Written by Gustavo Teran

A shortlist is your working set for a role or client: candidates you want to keep an eye on, call, or present. Shortlists live in Candidately and are separate from Bullhorn tearsheets and lists.

Add one candidate

Click the heart icon on a result card or in the profile header. Pick an existing shortlist or create a new one.

Add several at once

Hover the cards and tick the checkboxes, then Bulk actions → Add to Shortlist. See Bulk actions.

Open your shortlists

Click Candidate Shortlists (top right of the Candidates page). You see your shortlists with the candidate count and owner, Create new shortlist, and Show all shortlists.

Shortlist, or a Bullhorn action?

  • Shortlist: you are still deciding; a personal or team pipeline per role

  • Submit to Bullhorn job: the candidate is going into the process

  • Tearsheet: you want the set in Bullhorn for outreach or a campaign

  • List: a longer-term pool in Candidately, for example "Java seniors DACH"
