At Candidate.ly, we understand the importance of tailoring your experience to fit your agency's unique needs. With our latest update, Admin & Owner type-users can now fine-tune and customize which status changes and actions sync as notes to Bullhorn, ensuring a clutter-free and precise experience.


By having the flexibility to decide how notes are created, you can streamline your workflow and focus on what matters most. To access these customization options, navigate to Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Bullhorn and make adjustments according to your preferences.

Customize Candidate Status Changes Notes in Bullhorn:

πŸ’‘ Important Note: Bullhorn Notes for candidate status changes in Candidate.ly will be created on both the Candidate and Job records in Bullhorn.

  1. Draft: Decide if you want to add a note to Bullhorn when a candidate is in the Draft stage.

  2. Ready: Choose whether to add a Bullhorn note when a candidate is set to Ready.

  3. AE Rejected: Opt to add a note to Bullhorn when a candidate is rejected by the sales team. You can also choose to only add a note when a reason is provided.

  4. Set Active: Select if you want a Bullhorn note when a candidate is set to Active.

  5. Interview: Choose to add a note only when a candidate gets moved to the Interview stage. Additionally, you can select adding a note only when interview times are provided.

  6. Declined: Decide whether to add a Bullhorn note when a candidate is Declined. You can also decide to create a note in Bullhorn only if a reason has been provided.

Customize other Actions in Candidate.ly to sync as Notes in Bullhorn:

πŸ’‘ Important Note: Bullhorn Notes for the listed Candidate.ly actions will be created on the Candidate, Job, and Contact records in Bullhorn.

  1. List Shared: Decide if you want to create a note in Bullhorn when your list is shared with a client.

  2. Messages on Messenger (Sent/Received): Choose whether to add a note to Bullhorn for each message sent to and received from your clients.

  3. Clients Subscribed to List Updates (Candidate Added/Removed Emails Sent): Opt to create a Bullhorn note for each message sent to your clients subscribed to list updates about candidates being added or removed.

  4. Automatic Follow-Up Emails Sent: Select if you want to add a note to Bullhorn for automatic follow-up emails sent.
